Our Work
The House of the Sun explores one question: What conditions help human beings flourish?
Every keynote, workshop, article, book, and consulting engagement begins there.
Our work sits at the intersection of science, systems thinking, and the lived experience of being human. We believe that understanding people isn't just an individual pursuit—it's how we build healthier organizations, stronger communities, and more meaningful lives.
While the topics may look different, they all connect back to three core areas of exploration.
Literacy
Literacy at The House of the Sun examines the forces that shape how people think, feel, relate, work, belong, and make meaning. We explore both the inner experience of being human and the larger cultural systems that influence what we believe is normal, valuable, possible, or true.
The aim is to help people recognize what is happening within them and around them—so they can respond with greater clarity, agency, and care rather than simply living by scripts they never consciously chose.
Topics include:
-
Belonging & Connection
-
Grief & Emotional Health
-
Shame & Self-Compassion
-
Relationships & Community
-
Human Development
-
Meaning & Purpose
-
Culture & Social Conditioning
-
Media, Technology & Influence
Resilience
Life changes. People lose jobs. Relationships end. Communities evolve.
Organizations transform.
Resilience isn't about pretending those things don't hurt. It's about building lives, teams, and systems that can bend without breaking.
We explore practical ways to cultivate agency, adaptability, and hope—even when circumstances are difficult. Because resilience isn't about becoming invincible. It's about continuing to build a meaningful life anyway.
Topics include:
-
Adaptability
-
Self-Trust
-
Recovery & Growth
-
Change Management
-
Personal Agency
-
Sustainable Success
Human Systems Design
People don't exist in isolation. They live inside systems. Organizations.
Schools. Communities. Technology. Families.
Human Systems Design asks a simple question: What conditions allow people to do their best work and live their best lives?
Rather than blaming individuals for predictable outcomes like burnout, disengagement, or poor collaboration, we examine the environments that produce those outcomes—and redesign them with humans at the center.
Topics include:
-
Burnout & Workplace Well-Being
-
Organizational Culture
-
Leadership
-
Human-Centered AI
-
Learning & Development
-
Employee Experience
-
Psychological Safety
Different Topics. One Philosophy.
Whether we're talking about burnout, AI, loneliness, leadership, or friendship, we're ultimately exploring the same idea: Human beings don't thrive by accident. The conditions around us matter. When we understand those conditions—and intentionally design them—we create more room for curiosity, connection, joy, and possibility.
That's the work of the House of the Sun.
